Rumor: China Mobile to Establish Corporate Client Subsidiary

An industry source close to China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) recently claimed the operator's plans to spin off its corporate client division as a subsidiary were under way and could be announced in the near future. Plans call for the entire process to be completed in August. With the establishment of the new subsidiary, the source said, China Mobile will move further into line with GM Li Yue's strategy of increasing China Mobile Group-level oversight.
