China's 2011 Rural Appliance Sales Reach RMB 145 Bln

According to statistics released by China's Ministry of Commerce (MoC), 58.45 mln electrical and electronic appliances were sold nationwide through the "Appliances to the Countryside" subsidy program in the first seven months of 2011, resulting in RMB 144.55 bln in sales, up 73.3% YoY and 48.4% YoY respectively.

During the month of July, 7.51 mln electrical and electronic appliances were sold nationwide through the "Appliances to the Countryside" subsidy program, up 11.8% YoY and 32% month-over-month, resulting in RMB 19.97 bln in sales, up 25.3% YoY and 33% month-over-month.
